Bodywork / Fascia Release

Fascia is the connective tissue network of the body and it takes many forms, from stretchy to stiff. It appears throughout the body, virtually wrapping every blood cell, muscle, ligament, tendon, organ, and the brain and transmits force and information. A lot if it is still understudied but new research is coming out all the time. It is now called an organ as it is so widespread!

Keeping your fascia healthy is essential.

  • Benefits of a healthy fascial system:

  • Improved body symmetry and alignment

  • Increased blood and lymph flow

  • Faster exercise recovery

  • Scar tissue breakdown

  • Reduced risk of injury

  • Less day-to-day pain

  • Improved sports performance

  • Balance between stability and movement

Fascia hold the entire body together like a “wetsuit” and when it is healthy, it is flexible, well hydrated, supple and it glides.

There are four different kinds of fascia:

  • Structural

  • Intersectional

  • Visceral

  • Spinal

All of them are connected. In a structural integration session I will look at your posture and movement, considering your health history and then address the fascia to lengthen or hydrate, enabling more freedom of movement, less pain, and more ease in postural alignment via gravity.

Raindrop massage

The Raindrop Technique® combines the art of aromatherapy with the massage by combining reflexology, aromatherapy, massage techniques, and essential oils applied on your spine and on the feet.

The highest quality essential oils are placed on the reflex points on the feet where the spine is represented and along the spinal nerves.

It is a very unique experience and incredibly powerful journey with potent essential oils to help detoxification, boosting the lymphatic and immune system.

It is a very gentle massage technique designed to balance the body and aid the lymphatic detox.

I am also available and certified in Remedial Massage, Sports Massage and Pregnancy Massage. With many years of professional practice and ongoing study I love implementing all the different tools and skills to tailor to your needs and get the best clinical outcome.
