Bloated? Here's why....
Let's start understanding why you are bloated...and how to fix it!
Here is the thing: if you are eating a standard western diet full of refined foods, sugar, alcohol, grains and industrial seed oils, then it is not much of a surprise that your digestion is suffering.
But some of you are eating fresh produce and healthy foods and you exercise regularly BUT you are still bloated, gassy and maybe also constipated or your poos alternate between soft and hard....
And it is starting to bother you that you look like you are 4-5 months pregnant and your tummy hurts after eating certain foods.
The first step in fixing your digestion is to determine if your DIET is contributing to your symptoms like bloating, acid reflux, constipation or gas.
Do you see a pattern? Do you react more to predominantly proteins, fats, starches, or produce? Each of these reactions tells me something different about your digestion. If you are bloated and in pain after literally ANY food, that also gives us an important clue.
So,
1. how clean is your diet really, how much processed foods are you consuming
2. what do you react to most of the time?
3. make sure to chew your food thoroughly. A lot of us eat while multitasking, running after kids, being on our phones or TV, and we forget that digestion starts with RESTING. Sit down, smell your food, enjoy your food in good company (and not with grumpy kids haha), chew and take your time. No matter how healthy your diet is, you won't be able to digest any of the amazing nutrients if you are in a stressed out state!
